Bulldog, a marketing technology company for b-to-b enterprises has announced the recent appointment of Ben Gawiser to vice president of Engineering. In his role, Gawiser will oversee the engineering functions including software development, user interface design and product management. The announcement follows the company’s investment in software technology, and will bolster its suite of marketing technology services.
“As part of our ongoing investment in software to complement our b-to-b marketing services, we are pleased to have Gawiser join our team. His unique software as a service and analytics background make him an ideal leader for taking our software solutions to the next level of value for our clients,” Darin Hicks, Bulldog’s chief executive officer, said.
With marketing technologies on the rise, Gawiser’s onboarding is opportunistic as Bulldog prepares the launch of several software as a service offerings. According to Gawiser, one of the first steps to ensuring successful development and implementation, is instilling a vetted process during the first version. “Making sure we do it right the first time, ensures that we can build upon that intelligence and fundamentally transform areas of the b-to-b marketing process,” Gawiser added.
Gawiser’s appointment is on the heels of Bulldog’s recent investments in its executive leadership team. In October 2013, the company announced three key hires: Gene Glaeser, senior vice president of Sales; Josh Kivenko, vice president and chief marketing officer; and Randy Watson, chief operating officer. The hires are part of Bulldog’s broader growth strategy to enhance its customer value chain.
Prior to joining Bulldog, Gawiser served as vice president of Services at The Advisory Board Co., where he was responsible for overseeing the software implementation team. He holds a BSE in Computer Sciences from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
