DialogTech Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned Enterprise-Level CFO Bob Burns Joins DialogTech

CHICAGO, Nov. 28, 2016 — DialogTech, the leading call attribution provider, today announced Bob Burns as their Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Burns, a seasoned executive, joins DialogTech from HERE (formerly NAVTEQ), a $1.3 billion mapping and location services business, where he was the divisional CFO. Burns brings with him extensive experience leading companies to profitable growth and strategic acquisitions with a deep appreciation for venture-backed, growth-focused startups.

“Bob Burns has a great talent and passion for taking companies to the next level and we are thrilled to have such a high-achieving, enterprise-level CFO join our company,” said Irv Shapiro, CEO of DialogTech. “Bob’s professional goals and achievements are very much aligned with what we expect the future to hold for DialogTech. He is a strong addition to our executive team and we look forward to his leadership on our finance team.”

While serving as CFO at HERE (formerly NAVTEQ), Burns was a member of the leadership team, focused on driving new growth strategies to transform the business into a cloud-based location services company, and returned the company to profitable growth. Burns owned all financial aspects of HERE’s recent $3 billiondivestiture from Nokia and through its re-establishment as a private, independent business. Prior to taking the role as CFO in 2011, he held roles of increasing responsibility in NAVTEQ’s finance organization, where he made key contributions during a period of 10x revenue growth, an IPO, and a strategic sale to Nokia.

“Joining DialogTech is a fantastic opportunity to elevate a great company to an even higher level,” said Burns. “I am excited to join a team that’s not only dedicated to strategic company growth, but is also committed to their employees and to delivering best-in-class technology to their customers.”

Earlier in his career, Burns worked to establish a new global services business at Motorola, helped launch the billing operations of start-up wireless operator, Aerial Communications (later sold to T-Mobile), and developed enterprise software applications at Accenture.

Burns, CPA, earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
