Novu Welcomes James P. Bradley to Board of Directors

May 2, 2016 – Novu today announced the appointment of James P. Bradley as Chairman of its Board of Directors. In this role, Mr. Bradley will bring to Novu his decades of Board experience and relationships as Novu continues its growth and momentum.

A seasoned and pedigreed health care technology executive, Mr. Bradley has served in many of the industry’s premier organizations in the country in both management and Board roles. He has had successful career assignments in both large corporate settings and startups. He served as the Senior VP of Operations for Partner’s Health Plans, the joint venture owned by Aetna and Voluntary Hospitals of America; and as the Chief Information Officer of UnitedHealthcare. He also served as the Chief Technology Strategy Officer for the Internet-based businesses within McKesson Corporation. Mr. Bradley founded two startups, Abaton.com and RxHub. Mr. Bradley’s Board roles have crossed the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. He has Chaired the Boards of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the Health Data Consortium, and the University of Minnesota Medical Center. He also Chaired the Board of Ability Networks, and currently Chairs the Board of Wellpartner, a New York-based provider of contract pharmacy services. He was also Chairman and interim CEO of both GTESS Corporation and Prematics, Inc. and served as the Program Director of Northrop Grumman’s National Health Information Network project, contracted by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Mr. Bradley has lectured at Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, University of California, University of Minnesota, and other institutions on topics related to health policy and information technology. Mr. Bradley earned his BS and MS degrees from the University of Illinois and his MBA degree from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

“Jim embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of Novu and brings a wealth of health care guidance and experience that will directly impact our business,” said Novu CEO Tom Wicka. “As we continue to grow as a business and as a leader in the health care space, Jim’s input will help us further shape the intersections of consumer behavior and value we drive for the health care ecosystem. We look forward to Jim’s immediate contribution on the Board.”

“Novu sits at the intersection of behavior change and value creation for the nation’s health plans, and never before in our health care history has that been more impactful,” said Mr. Bradley. “The company has tremendous potential and has shown amazing success to date. I am excited to join Tom and the Novu team as part of the Board of Directors.”
